The IBAA is a nonprofit religious organization focusing on Biblical apologetics.
We do in person and virtual content sharing the truths of Scripture. We are a Messianic Jewish group also fighting antisemitism.
Who We Are
After much prayer and deliberation, a team of pastors and theologians created a unifying theological statement to help pastors and lay believers reach out to spiritually deceived individuals, families, and communities. This statement is known as the International Apologetics Declaration.
This new apologetics ministry, founded by Dr. Igal German, seeks to provide pastors and lay believers with tools and knowledge tackling major theological and practical challenges. Dr. Igal is passionate about evangelism, discipleship, and apologetics. We invite you to learn about the unique vision below.
What Sets Us Apart?
In a world saturated with conflicting voices, the International Biblical Apologetics Association (IBAA) stands apart as a ministry rooted in truth, clarity, and conviction. While many apologetics ministries offer helpful resources, IBAA fills a distinct void: it is a Messianic, Bible-based, international research and training center uniquely positioned to confront modern theological drift with uncompromising fidelity to Scripture. At the heart of IBAA is a passion to defend biblical truth while reaching both Jews and Gentiles with the gospel of Yeshua the Messiah.
Unlike other organizations that may compromise on core doctrines, IBAA boldly affirms the inerrancy of Scripture, the full counsel of God, the relevance of the Torah, a literal Creation account, and the importance of biblical male leadership. We are unashamedly committed to God’s eternal plan for Israel and the unique role of the Messianic Jewish mission. This ministry is about truth, clarity, and the authority of God's Word.

Why another apologetics ministry?
Because there is a crisis in Christian apologetics today. Some of the most well-known apologists in America now teach theistic evolution, question the historical reliability of Scripture, or downplay key doctrines. IBAA exists to respond—faithfully and academically.
As a research center, IBAA is grounded in deep theological expertise and careful biblical scholarship. As a training center, we equip believers to defend the faith and proclaim the gospel.
As an evangelistic ministry, we seek to reach the lost with a clear, uncompromising message of salvation in Yeshua.
Led by Dr. Igal German, an Israeli Messianic Jew and seasoned Bible scholar, IBAA brings a rare and powerful perspective to the apologetics landscape. Dr. German’s personal journey and academic credibility are woven into the very DNA of this ministry—offering insight, passion, and authenticity that resonate across cultures.

Dr. Igal German is professor of Old Testament studies and a Messianic Jewish apologist (Ph.D., University of St. Michael’s College, Toronto; B.A., M.A., University of Haifa, Israel). Dr. German has taught in theological institutions both in Canada and the United States, including Wycliffe College, Moody Theological Seminary, and North Park University. His expertise includes the following areas: the Old Testament, the New Testament in its Jewish context, Biblical and Modern Hebrew, the history of biblical interpretation, and counter-cult apologetics. Igal published the monograph The Fall Reconsidered: A Literary Synthesis of the Primeval Sin Narratives against the Backdrop of the History of Exegesis with Wipf & Stock (2016). Igal is passionate about communicating the full spectrum of biblical scholarship to his students.
B.S. from VA Commonwealth University, retired 26-year veteran federal agent. Co-founder of Cops for Christ and ordained police chaplain since 1980. John authored several books, including his best-seller, As America Has Done to Israel. Chaplain McTernan has spent thousands of hours debating rabbis, Judaism's anti-missionaries, Muslims, and apologists from many religions and philosophies. John successfully debated Rabbi Tovia Singer, defended Yeshua as Israel's promised Messiah, and wrote a three-book series: Only Jesus of Nazareth: Can sit on the Throne of David; Only Jesus of Nazareth: Can be Israel's King Messiah and Only Jesus of Nazareth: Only Jesus of Nazareth Can Be the God of Israel's Righteous Servant. Chaplain McTernan has written many brochures that have gone viral worldwide and were distributed in the millions while winning many souls to the Savior: Jesus Christ Came to Heal the Brokenhearted; For God so Loved the World; Looking for the Blessed Hope, and The 666 Surveillance System. Chaplain McTernan preaches over the internet in Asia and Pakistan, winning many souls to Jesus Christ. His primary ministry now is ministering and healing people with broken hearts. For many years he was a pro-life leader in Central Pennsylvania. John is married with four children and nine grandchildren.
The Jews passed on the Gospel to the Gentiles. Over the past 20 centuries, the Word of God has been preserved, preached and heard in many parts of the world. The state of Israel, revived by God's grace, love and faithfulness, exists now for more than 70 years. Let us return the Gospel to the Jewish people and let them embrace Messiah Yeshua.

Игаль Герман имеет степень доктора философии по еврейской Библии Университета Св. Он преподает библейские курсы в Moody Bible Institute, Trinity Christian College и Shiloh University. В настоящее время Игаль служит в русскоязычной мессианской общине г. Чикаго штата Иллинойс (США).
